Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
A range of pervasive developmental disorders, with onset in childhood, that adversely affect a pupil's functioning and result in the need for special education instruction and related services.
Developemental Cognitively Delayed (DCD)
A condition resulting in significantly below average intellectual functioning and concurrent deficits in adaptive behavior that adversely affects educational performance and requires special education and related services.
Deaf & Hard of Hearing (D/HH)
Defines the eligibility criteria for D/HH: Subpart 1. Definition Deaf and hard of hearing is defined as a diminished sensitivity to sound, or hearing loss that is expressed in terms of standard audiological measures. Hearing loss has the potential to affect educational, communicative, or social functioning that may result in the need for special education instruction and related services.

Developmentally Delayed (DD)
Emotional Behavioral Disorder (EBD)An established pattern of one or more of the following emotional or behavioral responses: (a) withdrawal or anxiety, depression, problems with mood, or feelings of self-worth. (b) disordered though processes with unusual behavior patterns and atypical communication styles; or(c) aggression, hyperactivity, or impulsivity. Severly Multiple Impaired (SMI)A disorder in one or more of the basic psychological processes involved in understanding or in using spoken or written language. The disability may be exhibited as an imperfect ability to listen, think, speak, read, write, spell, or do mathematical calculations.

Secondary Transition Planning is the process of preparing students for life after high school and includes planning for postsecondary education or training, employment, and independent living.
Restrictive Procedure (RP)
By grade nine or age 14, whichever comes first, the IEP plan shall address the pupil's needs for transition from secondary services to postsecondary education and training, employment, and community living.
